Hi everyone!

It's been a great start to the new year, and there has been many events that has happened that it's simply impossible for me to pen them all down right now.  I am grateful and thankful for all that has happened to me during the past years.  But what I do know is that this year is a very important year for me - aside from my full time j.o.b. as a greeting cards designer, I am now currently working on my own business which I believe will bring about a big change in my life and also the life of others around me.  This business that I am at is one that I strongly believe will bring a tremendous change, financially and spiritually.

Unfortunately this also means that I'll be cosplaying much much less than what I would like to (photoshoots are still fine but not making any new time-consuming costumes), but sacrifices have to be made.  For me, this sacrifice is temporary - my passion for cosplaying have not and will not die.  It is in fact very much an opposite - it is because of this passion that I am willing to put it on hold to work on a bigger cause, so that when my goals are reached I will have the time and money to cosplay as much as I want!

I'd like to thank everyone who have been supporting my cosplays throughout these years, I would be nothing without you all.  If you've been visiting my page regularly for updates (and going "When is she ever going to update her DA?"), thank you for being one of the reasons to keep at this dream of mine.  I have no shortage of cosplay plans, and I intend to make them come true when my business succeeds!

I will continue to lurk all you smexy people's photos from time to time, even might upload some old old old ancient photo/s that's been in my HD for years xD The dream is everything, and I have no shortage of that! My sincere hope is that I would not lose touch of the skills that I've acquired these years >___<

Wow it's already been another year since my last visit to AFA, and now it's gonna happen again tomorrow! EXCITEDDDDDDD (Kanameeee! Airaaaaaaa! JAM PROJECT + ANGELA-unfortunately I don't have enough sufficient funds and leaves so I have to skip out on the concerts this round T__T)

To those who are chionging costumes (myself included lol), GAMBATTEEEE!!!
I'll only be able to come on 2nd day, so hope to catch you all there my dear friends!

Also I manage to create cosplay namecards as a feeler - if it's good I'd print out more designs next round!

Can't think of any other title, really

I'd like to apologise DEEPLY to everyone for the serious lack of updates+photos+event coverage that has happened over the span of 5 months. There were several times where I attempted to post to my journal but instead it would leave me sobbing over my keyboard and am afraid I might type something unnecessary.

1. I was going through from serious job dissatisfaction > depression > joblessfeelignlikeauselesspieceofshit > probation at new job > confirmed in 2 mths > job satisfaction I really was NOT HAPPY with my prev workplace, with all the long traffic jams+long work hours+works**t I had to endure.  Not anymore! (although the work hours probably will increase from now>end of august Q__Q)

To keep you in the loop, I'm now working at a corporate greeting cards company - the experience is good and work environment is good so far. I hope this feeling stays this way! (Can someone prescribe me a "Work Happy Always Pill" pls?)

Have been giving my all at this new career, which leaves me less time than I used to have to do cosplay related stuff+photo editings+photo uploads, so again I humbly apologise T__T

I am not retiring this hobby anytime soon!!! Just that I will have less time to commit to a lot of projects at once+conserve my budget.  The good news is that I have a lot of unfinished cosplays from last year, so shall work to finish them up and debut them!


2. The day after I left my old workplace, my younger sister; who is about to sit for her SPM tyear, was diagnosed with cancer (specifically Hodgkin's Lymphoma).  This also contributed to deciding not hunting another job so soon.  At that point of life I was just ready to give up everything I had, just as long as my sister regains back her health and rid of the cancer. It was also a crucial time for my family as we went through several lifestyle changes(regular doctor visits for her chemotheraphy)/diet (no raw food for her, eg: salad/sushi/etc, anything cooked+served warm is alright), and most important of all - to be her pillar of support when she needed it. Seeing her feel so weak and getting fed those bags of medicine during chemo was probably the most heartbreaking thing my family+I had to experience.  Deep inside we wished that we could just take her place and take away her pain.

It sounds like a miracle when I say it now, but her recent scans have confirmed that all her cancer cells are inactive, and that she is currently in remission now. THANK YOU LORD FOR GIVING MY SISTER A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE


3.  This section is for my dear Uncle Rob - who taught me to love what I do best. He passed away some months back due to septisemia+complications, also sometime during my sister's chemo.  I'm saddened by his loss as I was illustrating for his book that he was writing and now will not have the chance to see it being published.  There was a painting of my uncle which I did a while back, hope to find it back and upload it here.

[clearing up backlogged reports]

First off :

THANK YOU AFA 2009 FOR THE EPIC MEMORIES!

I'm sure everyone who went to AFA 2009 this year would each have their own epic tale to tell, be it getting to meet Alodia+Ashley Gosiengfiao, KANAME☆, Danny Choo, Fukuyama Yoshiki, May'N, Shoko-tan, Aniki or just getting to meet up with friends whom we don't see everyday/who from different countries!
My entire trip down was a BIG GIANT WHIRLWIND RIDE, everything happened so fast for something that I've been planning for months!

Many many thanks to for being my host for this entire event! (^___^)/ Despite all the odds against us (both down with flu on separate days of the event + tons of things not completed for our cosplay together), I'm glad we both fought on and accomplished it in the end! I really look forward to more photoshoot pictures! ♥

There's seriously a lot of things I'd like to write about but as puts it, "her entry would be so long that it'll reach Malaysia" LOLOLOL In my case, the length of it will probably make its way round the world haha! XDXD

AFA Day 1
